Is it me or has this site been slow as hell lately?

A General Discussion forum for cars and other topics, and a great place to introduce yourself if you are new to NICO!

Recently this site has been a b*itch to load up, and when i click 'post' it will just sit there for a min or two before going back to the board. Is this happening to anyone else? Its so annoying! All other sites load up quick.

There are at least seven of these threads. Seriously, search the issue. It is not hard to churn up results. Hell, I know one thread just like this is on this page.

Admin knows it is slow. They are doing everything they can to get it moving faster. Big changes are in the works. Sit tight.

This thread was started because the changing from old NICO to new NICO was causing extreme slow downs while browsing NICO. So he posted after the optimization of NICO hense, I saw what he did there.

Yeah, we're aware of the missing button issue and are looking into it. ;)

And the forums definitely aren't slow now. Even on my phone they're loading lightning fast.

Been acting kinda slow but all we can do is give it time. I'm sure it'll be awesome after the switch has made 100% progress.

We had a problem last night with the database locking up because of the number of people logged in. It was an issue with the permissions on our new server, not the forum software itself. We are pretty sure we resolved it, but obviously we'll be keeping an eye on it. Hopefully that won't happen again and the speed should stay fast.

As far as all the other bugs, we are fully aware they are there and we are working to fix them. It's just going to take a little time. We're trying to handle all the big ones first, but eventually we'll get them all fixed. It was either switch the forum to the new software now and have our members help us find the bugs, or spend another year in our test environment trying to find them all ourselves. It's much easier when you have 150,000 people helping you :)
