Is it just me, or does the foot heater suck in the EX?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Since winter began, I've really noticed the foot heater in my 08 EX is terrible. There's 1 vent a side that comes out from the center, and it doesn't seem to push much air. My old Subaru pumped air from above the pedals and would make my feet sweat. After a 30 minute drive my feet are kind of warm in my EX though. The heated seat isn't as hot either, but I've gotten used to that now.

Anyone else feel the same way? I still love the car, it's just really annoying.

mine is the same. My 1997 honda prelude is better than ex35. This was a first complain that i brought back to dealer right after i bought it. Dealer's answer is just for foot, that's mean it's not a big problem for them or they don't care.

Well, probably just a design flaw BUT one thing that may or may not help is changing your cabin air filter, a dirty cabin air filter will restrict air flow, many people don't even know they have a cabin air filter...

Glad I'm not the only one. Good idea on the cabin air filter. I've only had the car since June, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's still original. I'm not expecting it to make a difference, but it should probably be replaced anyway, along with the air filters.
