i have never had this style auto transmission and i find cannot "feel" the car, how fast i'm going, before i know it i'm doing 60! i find myself loosing the car in a curve and as i wonder why i look down to see i'm at 45-50 in the apex! i'm guessing this is "user failure", ok, i know it is lol. but i can't stand it!

am i alone here??

Not here to bash, but that was perhaps reason 5 for trading in my Murano for an Audi. I had the same feeling and several times while perhaps my own mind-wandering-listening to music, found myself going too fast for road conditions.

That is simply the feeling of the CVT. No shift shock, some love it, but if you are an enthusiast, you may not like it. Good thing is it performs well, has an amazing warranty, and also helps improve gas mileage.

Bash all you want, I cannot stand this vehicle! What were the other 4 reasons?

I dunno about the performance, I have found there to be quite a lag when at WOT...

As for MPG, best not go there lol

i have the same feeling towards the cvt laggy, not the best mpg's were talking 18 with fwd? and the numbness of it has gotten me 3 tickets 25 over 20 over and 10 over... makes me a bit angry. the other vehicle i drive a F350 (modified with performance in mind of course) hasn't cost me a dime in violations and gets better mpg's
