I recently acquired a G37xS. The lot advertised and sold it as a 2009, but the VIN and original window sticker that I found in the trunk suggest that it is a 2010, and an Anniversary Edition. I was curious as to what an AE was, and after reading a few articles I'm unsure as to what I have. The reviews and articles say that the AE comes with Graphite Shadow Metallic paint and red leather interior. Mine is Black with stone interior. The articles also comment that the AE is appointed with 9-spoke wheels, but mine are 18" 10 spoke wheels. Are the inaccuracies with the wheels, paint and interior due to the fact that my car is AWD? :gotme This is driving me crazy :ohno:

The easiest way to find out your model's information is by calling your local Infiniti Dealership and telling them your VIN #. Let us know what you find out!

Any chance this is a rebuilt salvage (total loss) car? Did you do a Carfax on it? :gotme

I got the carfax this weekend, and the only reports are owner, registration and title updates. I called my local Infiniti dealership with the VIN this morning, and they confirmed that it is an AE. The service adviser also mentioned that he has seen other 2010 G37xS models in other colors and trim that are noted as Anniversary Editions. He had never considered it before, but we both agreed that AWD models of the AE were manufactured in other colors and trim besides the Graphite Shadow Metallic paint and red leather interior, but not the RWD models. Also, the AWD does not have the upgraded brakes, suspension and steering which may hint at why I don't have the 9-spoke wheels. My car has the same wheels as Joe603, and it's the same color, but with stone interior. Also, mine has a different front bumper with fog lights, and the same grill as bentrod. Pictures coming as soon as it stops raining and I get off from work.

Nice find then! You must have gotten a pretty good deal if the lot was selling it as a 2009. I can't wait to see the pics :yesnod

Here's what I found online about AE G37s:

They all have the red seats, Sport, and NAV packages. I'm not sure why the service guy told you that...Here's what the VP of Infiniti's business unit said:

“These unique and very limited editions represent what Infiniti is all about – Inspired Performance,” said Ben Poore, vice president, Infiniti Business Unit. “Building on the popularity of the Monaco Red Leather and special Red-toned Maple interior that helped launch the G Convertible, the Anniversary Editions add a number of new styling touches that will make them instantly recognizable on the showroom floor and on the road.” "Each Anniversary Edition comes in a new Graphite Shadow exterior color that was just added for 2010, with the interiors appointed with Monaco Red Leather. The Coupe and Convertible interiors are accented with special Red-toned Maple and the two Sedans have the new Shodo-finish aluminum trim."

...but, all that crap doesn't matter. What matters is if you're happy with the car!

That helps a lot! And, yes I am very happy with the car. I'm still confused as to why, according to the VIN and window sticker, the vehicle description says "G37 Anniversary Edition / X". The service adviser said that he's seen many other 2010 G37xs models without the Graphite Shadow paint and red leather with this same description. Maybe it's a 2010 model year thing, or perhaps an AWD Sport Package thing. Who knows. I don't care because this car is amazing, and I love it! Above all, I'm excited to finally have an answer. Thank you so much for your help, Joe.
