Well, last thursday I put in an internet order for a 97 nose guard for a Q45. I also paid for 2 day shipping so i could get it sooner. I was hoping to get it either friday or monday but that didn't happen....nor did it come teusday or wednesday.

So i called scottsdale infiniti and asked what the deal was....and they said it had accidently been pushed to the back of the room and said it hadn't been shipped yet. Well he confirmed the fact that i was in fact ordering a nose mask for a 1997 Q45 and said that i would have it the next day.

Well, yesterday i recieved the package! And it wasn't a mask for a Q45, it was a mask for a QX4. So once again i had to call and see what the deal was. I was somewhat aggitated but did not show this at all through the phone. The sales rep said......"well i can send the mask for the q45 to you, but i will have to charge you for it and then reemburse you once i get the qx4 mask back." I willingly did so....but didn't really think it was necessary. Should i reallllly be paying for someone elses mistake? He then said he was going to UPS it to me the next day and that the UPS guy would pick up the old package and drop off the new while i was at work....if i left it on my porch. I figured , O well this should b easy and left it on my BACK porch where the UPS guy always comes. Turns out he did come today, but it wasn't UPS so he didn't come to the back of the house to pick it up. It also said someone had to sign for it when the Infiniti Rep said i wouldn't. So even if they did come to the back no one would have signed for it because i was at work. So i guess i will end up getting it monday.

Has this happened to anyone else when dealing with Scottsdale? I just don't think it is right! I am going to get my package over a week late when i paid for 2 day. Then i have take time off of work in order to be hear when it arrives on monday. And then I am being charged again for the product that I don't have yet! I can only hope they truly credit my mastercard for it!

First, I'm very sorry that you had a bad experience with Infiniti of Scottsdale. Every time I have dealt with them I have had nothing but nice things to say about the quality of their work. I would like to quickly point out a couple of things:

1. have you talked to Joe yet? never have I met a guy that works so hard to keep a good reputation for his company until Joe. I have every confidence that he will work out a deal to reimburse you for your 2-day shipping. The ONLY time there was ever a mix-up for me was when someone accidentally wrote down the wrong credit card number when ordering the item. I had originally paid for 2-day shipping but, because of the mix-up, Joe shipped it the next day with next-day shipping FREE of charge. Now that's service!

2. Also, do not worry about being credited your money. Once I ordered parts for my Dad which he decided he no longer needed so I called back to cancel the order. They credited his card back withing 3 days.

Again, I'm sorry about your experience but I have every faith that Joe and Scottsdale will do what they can to make it right.

Very true! Considering the volume they do, mistakes sometimes happen. But I'm sure everything'll turn out right in the end, just not as fast as was planned.

not sure if this matters in this case or not, but many of the posts here have mentioned to call infiniti of scottsdale and ask for joe instead of going over the internet. in my case, i ordered mats for my 90Q over the internet and, although had no problem with the shipping, read a post a week later about someone who ordered the same mats and got them cheaper through dealing with joe personaly(letting him know they were a NICO member). again, not sure if this makes a huge difference, but my next order will be done over the phone! jeff

As with all humans, mistakes are made, how that mistake is dealt with shows the character

I have a drive shaft prob and they sent the drive shaft out ground and not next day, they had it changed to next day and I had it surprisingly the day after I called

Even my own personal business makes mistakes but we always rectify and try to never make the same mistake again.

Again it is how they handle it. Since it was their mistake they should have taken care of it without having to charge you but Joe was out this week and like all the others I do like dealing with Joe but I have also had good experiences with Frank

I have purchased numerous parts from them and this is the only time I had a problem. IF anything, Joe always went out of his way to talk to techs to give me advice wen I wasn't sure which way to go.

Give them a second shot as I do not think you will be disappointed.

I concur with all of the above responses. I know Joe personally, and I'd be willing to bet if you call and talk to him personally, he'll make it right. With the volume of business they do (we keep them BUSY), there's bound to be a boo-boo now and then...

Let's put it this way; I'd trust Joe with my car for a week - That's how highly I think of him.

FYI, Joe was on vacation last week - but I talked to Frank and Ralph (?) and also found them to be very easy to work with. Shipping problems are always an issue. I have my 4th left upper link on the way because of the bushing area being bent on the others. I think it took two rights to get one where all of the bushings were round. At this point we're thinking some of it may be shipping damage since Frank personally looked at the thrid one on it's way out and it looked fine.

While I was working with Joe on parts for my truck in May and June, I called him sevral times a day adding nickle and dime parts to orders, etc. and I have to say he's the most patient person I've ever worked with. I know how frustrating all of this is - but bear with Joe - he'll make it right in the end!

Joe or zinkie,

Could one of you guys please post as soon as this is resolved? I think all members/customers would benefit from knowing there was a happy ending to all this and what that was.

Nick :)

For me it never was an issue. Joe is the absolute best in customer parts service.
