So in keeping with my "everything but the motor" trend of mods I went to the junkyard looking for a 300zx fuel pump today. I know it won't make any positive performance difference now, but I figure it's just another one of those little things I can do in anticipation of the swap. What they guy told me surprised me, he said with the stock KA I would run into a host of problems. Leaking injectors, fuel pump burning itself out, etc... because of the extra pressure. I didn't think this sounded right. I am positive I've heard of people putting Walbro's on their stock motors before and while it doesn't increase performance any I never heard of it being detrimental.

I had a walbro pump blow out an injector.. but that is most likely due to an old FPR..

Well buy it and dont intall it untill you do the swap.!
