First of all you have to find a insurance company that covers all you after market parts. Some only cover OEM and if stolen would restore it to OEM not what you have invested. Full coverage not only means theft... it also means coverage for yourself in a collision. I was in an accident where i was injured and was compensated for my injuries and my car.. Got me a new whip w upgrades. So i think its worth it! .. Try looking around for a better quote.. I pay 110 full coverage on my Altezza.. im 23.mrgrape wrote:k so i just bought a zenki with plans of a kouki conversion. I plan to put a lot of money into it at least 5grand which includes the kouki conversion......i only make 1 grand a month working at BMW and my quote for insurance is $56 for liability and 165 for full coverage...Im only worried about getting the car stolen, in which i put lots of time and energy as opposed to vandalized or crashed....so heres my question.... Is full coverage worth it on my zenki???In 2 years the money from full coverage would cover what i paid for the zenki-4500.......what are u guys doing?thanks
They go by the Black Book actually.tramp_drift240 wrote:
i vote liability, they go by the blue book value normally.
Depends on your insurer.Jadesr20det wrote:You need a new job....full coverage not so much.... doesnt make sense in an older car they will just give you what "the book" says its worth...if you crash it buy it back from them for cheap and buy a shell w/whatever they give you and swao everything over
Ya i agree, call themFlicktitty wrote:call around to a few insurance agents. tell them your story. "i have a _______and i have about $xxxxxx into the car, How can i insure it incause of an accident/theft" Usually you have to have proof (receipt) of what is done to the car. bud odviously the more your car is insured for the more your insurance will be.
i say go for it.
jesus christ dude. that is so much. i say full. i love my car i got comprehensive full way above the minimun values expected by my state and im only paying 120 a month. I am just worried one day someone will hit and run it and without complete full overage i would be s*** out of luck.tramp_drift240 wrote:im scraping by with the bare minimum liability on my coupe. which currenly has about 8 grand of aftermarket stuff, if not more.
still paying 1600 for 6 months though.
