Is anyone using an Optima battery in their EX?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Guys,

Are you using an optima battery in your car? If so, what kind, red or yellow?

Which one do you reccommend? Why?

Thanks.

Thanks man. I know that the yellow is better for ACC items and heavy used current draw items. I wanted to know who has experienced the Optima. No worries.

I also have two Chevy SSR trucks which I occasionally show. There has been a lot of discussion on Optima batteries on the SSR forum. http://www.ssrfanatic.com/foru...22094/

Bottom line is that people have had problems with them, they are expensive and all batteries are made by only 2 companies (Interstate makes Optima I think). A good Delco, Sears or Interstate battery is just fine. I replaced my 5 year old Delco with an Interstate in my yellow SSR. Optimas are good for off road vehicles because they are sealed and somewhat ruggedized but there are others that appear to be better.

My 2 cents is don't waste the extra $50-75 get a good Interstate or Sears unless you are running your EX in a demolition derby or off road.

Put them on the ssrfanatic/forum.com page under for sale items. Probably get a lot of interest. I only have 20-25K on both my SSRs and don't need them.Ken
