So i have just got on of these fan set ups from Z1motorsports and it seems to run some time then sometimes not. I just dont understand. Has anyone have the same problems? I have checked everything but the therostatic switch because i dont know how? If anyone could clue me in on this it would be great. I may just have to put it on a switch but dont really want to because i most likly will forget to shut it off...

So you did or didn't install the thermostatic switch? If it has the switch, then it's only supposed to run after the temp gets past 185 degrees and then turn off when it gets down to 165 degrees. Even the stock clutch fan only runs when it needs to.

I did install the switch but i was driving home and my temp went past the half way point it was 3/4 up the gage. So i went out and poped my hood and the fan was not working onlu my ac fan.

Something must be wrong with the wiring/switch then. Have you inspected all the wiring yet? How old is the fan? you can test the fan by putting straight 12v to it and see if it spins.

My fan is new. I have checked the wires. I have the red wire that comes out of the reley going to my ignition wire. My yellow wire goes to the battery. The gray one goes to the thermostatic switch and black is grounded. I did check the fan it self to 12vthe and works. The problem is it works some time and some times not. Kinda weird.

Maybe call Z1 and see what they say. If everything is hooked up correctly it sounds like a defective fan to me

So i pulled the reley off from the wires and pluged it back in and drove my car all around town today and not one problem crazy. Anyway i hope it wasnt just a fluke i will still keep checking on it
