Go with the JWT ecu.....mid range power what does that mean?
There is nothing material to be gained below 3300 rpm no matter what you try.....spent 3 days on a dyno trying everything. We A/B ed everything and trimmed [+-15%] the JWT and stock ecu with a $11,000 prom extender from Techtom [courtesy of Nissan Racing back in 1994]. The only thing that worked was 106+ racing fuel and more advance. What most don't realize is the Consult will allow minute changes in timing/fuel while connected - just not permanent as the ecu reverts to the PROM upon disconnection.
The other problem is a chassis dyno is not real world as it is level and generally UNDERLOADS the Q due to the roller diameter and weight....... anything +- 5-10 HP is suspect!
We have installed over 25 JWT units and never had problems including a couple of Nitrous conversions.Absolutely the best bang for the buck!
