Im thinking about getting an SAFC + wideband + 50lb injectors.Currently I have 370cc+cobra maf+JWT ecu (programmed for 370cc).

Im trying to avoid downtime (sending my JWT ecu in again for reprogram), but I want to be able to boost a little more.Im thinking about keeping my current JWT ecu with 370cc program, and slap some 555cc nismo... add SAFC and Wideband, and tune it myself.

Is anybody running this setup? if so, is it working pretty good?

Suggestions? experiences?

Im also thinking about waiting for the EMS to come out but I dont know the exact release date. Either way, im trying to avoid downtime. As much as I like the ecu, I hated waiting 2 months just to get the daughterboard connected to the ecu.

im tryin to buy back my jwt ecu to do basically the same thing. i think you will have a great setup doing this since the timing map is already taken care of. teh fuel tunning is really easy with a wideband on the street.

im also been thinking very much about the ems. i wonder when it will be coming out

No downtime to get a new chip...

Call them with the number on your current chip (open ECU, copy #)...Call JWT, tell them, waht you have, and what you want. Pay $425 (IIRC, it's $100 new chip, $325 core)...They will send you the new one, and you swap them out, send back the old one. No down time...then get your $325 back once they recieve the old chip.

And while JWT is a little rich...it's no worth buying an AFC to tune it down if you have the correct program.

AHHH thanks for the info guys! that helped a lot..I can get good deals on some 50 lbs injector so the total of this upgrade should be no more than 500 bux..I think I'll go with orion's idea...Gonna give jwt a call soon.

Oh yea btw... If I put resistor in place of my knock sensor, will it messed up the ecu?If not... which resistor should I use? I know its a 10Mohm resistor but which voltage? .25 or .5V?

For what reason? If you have no knock, then it's not doing anything.

It's not doing anything above ~4200rpm anyway, so...

Is yours dead?

well.. my ecu keeps throwing me this code 34 every week or so...Usually this happens in the morning or when the engine is cold.I have a small exhaust leak that makes somewhat a tick tick noise...Im guessing its from this. I know Im not detonating or anything.. its just that its kinda annoying at night when your check engine line blinks...IIRC, knock sensor is active only below certain rpm to avoid lower rpm pinging...Until I can fix that exhaust leak completely.. I can just bypass that knock sensor with a resistor to 'fool' it...

ps. theres also a possibility that the knock sensor 'died' sometime a while ago...

Jwt is only a 250 core--so 350 total and you get the 250 back. The afc isnt really needed, but i would keep it just in case. Its a nice little tuning tool to ave if you ever need it.Also--You have a 270cc program with a cobra maf? I tried to get that program and they told me that they didnt have one for it......I had to go with 50lb injectors unless i wanted to keep my stock maf.
