Is anyone running and electric (puller) fan instead of the manual clutch fan? If so what fan and how does it stack up vs. the stock manual one?

I don't know much about this, but I had been reading a lot of people choose to go with the Flex Lite 210 I think....it is a dual fan setup and relatively cheap.

I was thinking about doing this to my NA to squeeze out every hp possible to the wheels rather than to all of these lossy rotating parts.

However, I'm not sure really what I'd be saving myself by removing the fan clutch and fan....a stretch would probably be 5 hp to a NA.

I put a dual E-fan set up from a 97 Altima with the temp sensor I paid less than $100 all bought off ebay and it keeps my car running perfectly at all temps. And I'm sure there is a little HP gain but just cleaning up the engine bay is worth the money. Makes the UR pulleys look so much more pretty.

Thanks guys, I have a e-fan with a built on shroud off a volvo, not sure which volvo, but it fits perfectly over the TT rad. I had it wired to the pusher fan but have now realized that the pusher only comes on at 210 which is a bit too high for comfort so im looking at running a thermo unit w/ probe.

I bought one off ebay a while back, it's the square one with an adjustable thermo switch built in. 3000CFM...paid like $145 plus $15 shipping. Turns out it was the same fan some of our local speed shops were selling that they put on bigblock powerplants all the time. i kinda smiled when i saw a $299 price tag at my local shop. Brackets actually fit quite well for install and looks very clean and easy to wire up. It adds performance cause it takes a load off the belts and makes your waterpump last longer.

I'm very tempted to go ahead and order a Flex-a-Lite 210/220 while I'm doing my 120k service and everything is out.

Z1 sells a fan intended for the NA, but they don't have the CFM specs.

I'm anxious about causing any overheating. Who else makes a setup that will fit in a 300zx?

I only know of flex-a-lite, but maybe the 2500 CFM isn't enough.

Charlie hasn't been on in a number of years. I doubt he is going to reply. Have you ever heard of the Taurus SHO fan mod? I know a couple NA guys running that setup but I don't know of any TT's running it.

The Nismo Thermostat provides no benefits for your car, and can in fact decrease performance. Save the money.

SHO fan should work well for a TT as well, provided there are no other cooling issues.
