i found an S13 a few miles away from my house, and it's in decent shape, it's an '89 w/ about 140k on it. it's really cheap... but the question is , should i get it even if it's an automatic? is it even worth it? how easy/hard is a 5spd swap? or is that gonna be too expensive? i want to get into drifting , so i want something cheap to start out with..... thanks.

if its really cheap, id get it... 5 spd swap will cost somewhere between 400-700 depening on where you get your parts, and is possible to be done in a weekend if you have the right tools. its an sohc, so it is somewhat lacking some power.. i guess it all depends on how cheap is cheap

cheap like $700,. so a 5spd swap is only at most $700? and it can be done easily ( i was qouted a price of about $1800 to do a 5spd swap on my '95 prelude).... can you give me some resources on the 5spd swap , it wdould really help my decision if a swap isn't too expensive/difficult... thanks.
