I'm running a Garrett GT3071R with a set of SS lines but ended up spinning a bearing a couple of weeks ago. Is it possible that by not having an oil restrictor in line caused the oil to be sucked in to the turbo too fast causing low oil levels for the bottom end? I just bought an aftermarket oil pan this goaround but am now questioning the oil restrictor that garrett sales. Running Mobile1 10W30 synthetic BTW

the oil restrictor has nothing to do with an oil pan. look at just the turbo. without a restrictor, the oil pressure will be sky high compared to what it wants. yes, it's necessary.
