Short Ram Intake, which you have, is not a cold air intake. The position of your filter in that location is primarily drawing in warm air due to the heat of the engine. If it were a cold air intake, the filter would be located lower in the engine bay usually near the front grill or sometimes the wheel well with a long tube leading up to the engine. There are no 'cold air' intakes for our car due to space limitations. It was the same way with my 3000GT.

I drove without my headlights and the power increase va VERY noticable in this cold weather with my injen, felt like a 3.7 VQ.

but in normal driving with the headlights still there the car is getting a outside air mixed with warm air from the engine. still better than stock lol

Keep in mind.. CAI (cold air intake).. WAI (warm air intake).. Short Ram.. Filter on a stick..

These are all marketing terms, helpful in describing the product as it relates to the general application per vehicle. There is no official regulations or rules on describing the type of intake.

As you've probably noticed, to derive what the entire auto community would describe as a true "Cold Air Intake" would require a continuous path from an open air source, such as the lower front bumper, which would require the relocation of a tremendous amount of parts, probable fabrication, etc.

It still, however, is removing the stock air box, and providing an increase in power and most noticeably a great intake sound without the baffles that grandma's require in the intake tract to keep the average people happy.

fabricate a hood scoop near the filter aka ram air hood. shorter piping (short ram) = air is rammed quicker/faster/easier. cai's are ricey if you ask me. it's such a bad idea to put the filter that low cuz the last thing you want is to suck in water from puddles and stuff. cai's are a waste of money.

oh and by the way, no one calls them warm air intakes. that would be the worst marketing alias ever.

Maybe you didn't click on intakes on the left side of the website? It's showing up for me. I could even add it to my cart and checkout.
