Is an ae86 worth it?

So i was looking on craigslist and found a gts for 900 he said the engine was rebuilt. Id really like to start drifting soon but i only got like 1300 saved up right now since im still in high school.

So do any of you guys have an ae86?

make sure its rwd , i havent seen a rwd gts sell round here for less then 2000, mabey 1500-1000 w no or a blown motor

yea thats what i thought so im probably just going to pick up an s13 coupe the AE seems to sketchy
