First of before anyone ask way I was going so fast I just wanted to see what it topped out at, I don't do it on a regular base or with other vehicles around. I had the oppurtunity to to see how fast the pathy went I got to 105 and she it was like she just stopped. I didn't know what it was so I backked off. I try again the next day and the same thing. The truck will not let me go past 105. Now i am curious the speedo says 120. I have never had a vehicle were I couldn't reach the top speed on the speedo. Anyone know why this is happening or whats going on?

i got mine to 100 one day and backed off, it didnt feel very stable. they put governers on for several reasons, to not exceed the speed rating of the tires, not to exceed the cars physical limits, and to prevent idiot drivers(not implying that you are one) from killing themselves or someone else.

I've driven mine at 110 a couple of times, but I wouldn't recommend it (I was in a huge hurry and the freeway was clear enough for me to do it). I think I may have hit the governor, but I was too busy watching the road to pay attention.

The vehicles will go that fast and faster, but do you have the tires, suspension and willingness to risk that?

I've had mine at 110-115 once... just wanted to see what it would do. It felt very unstable, I don't think it would do much over that speed. These things aren't made to go fast!!!

Most i got my 01 up was 112,mph/180,kph and i'am sure it was able to go more.from what ive seen on websites thy say the 4wd/4AT has a top end of 180KPH/112, and the 5MT version can hit 190. I wouldn't want to even try it unless it was a Flat race track style straight away, the thing is way too unstable at those speeds.

My '01 QX4 has a governor just shy 110 mph. Hit it twice on downhill slopes on an empty highway.. felt pretty stable actually.
