All my gauges work fine with my SR, but I have a Type X cluster I was thinking about using just to be different. Is it a direct swap or is there modification needed to use them?

^ correct its not plug and play at all. basically you need to use maxima plugs to fit into the gauge cluster side and splice then in the us cluster sub harness in the place of the oe plugs. its difficult and tedious f you're unsure of wiring. mine came out fine but just make sure you're confident before diving in

Yes, just because you have a redtop motor with SR motor/engine bay harness, the chassis harness will still be the same USDM harness with the plugs for the USDM cluster. It can't possibly be the same wiring, considering the Kouki cluster has digital odometer and service lights.

I was just asking cuz I happened to have one around. I still have the original cluster and the clip cluster. Just gonna sell the type x then.
