My mom is gonna buy me a car and the G is a car i always dreamt of having. I'm 19 male working part time while in school. I won't be doing much racing or anything like that. I'm still a new driver, so like i said, i won't be doing anything too crazy. Here's the description of the car:

I've had the car for two year and never seen one that has all the extras done by Erickson Infiniti. I was the second owner. All the fluids were maintained properly Always ahead of time. I'm going to another city and I don't need to drive.

6 speed Manual transmission
Gold Brembo break system
Borla exhaust system
Bose audio system
Suspensions
Set of Matte 18" black winter tires
Set of 19" summer tires
Navigation system with a bottom pops up
Power everything
VDC (vehicle dynamic control) comes handy in winter
Black mint leather
Tri code pearl white exterior
Front lip on the bumper
Dual climate control
6cd changer And aux
Stock clutch was replaced a year ago
Brand new battery this past winter

What do you guys think?

Another car i've been looking at is a the 1998 WRX STi version 5, 300 hp awd

The seller is misrepresenting the car if he says anything about "NISMO" in the description, as it's simply an Infiniti G35 with manual trans (they all came with the Sport package, including Brembo brakes).

The price seems a tad high, but the miles are relatively low. I'd wonder why it needed a clutch at 63k (maybe it was driven too hard)... I'd also want a lot of pics of the undercarriage to look for rust.

I owned the same car (mine was DIamond Graphite) for 4 years and loved it. It's a well-built, reliable, modern classic and still looks WAY better than any STi. :)

Welcome aboard.

Yeah i think it looks alot better than the sti, i have always preferred sleek and luxurious cars over sporty one.

Yes - both of them are very expensive to maintain. And since you are a new driver that doesn't quite have a grasp on the automotive world yet, you might want to save your mom some money and start out with a "learner car". As a father that had 4 teenagers in the family at one time, "learner cars" are invaluable to the family pocket book.

Once you understand some of the more common maintenance situations you will have owning a higher performance car, maybe then you can re-visit the idea of purchasing one.

Infinitis are not cheap to maintain. The 15,000 mile service on my G37S cost $240. The 30,000 mile service cost $650 because the front brake rotors were warped. That said, they are nowhere near as bad as the premium German brands -- BMW, Porsche and Mercedes.

At your age, I would recommend a fairly new Ford Focus or Mazda3. (I drove air-cooled VW Beetles until I was finished school and had a good paying job.) They are cheap to buy and cheap to maintain. The Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla also are cheap to maintain but their reputations make them rather expensive to buy. A Civic SI is a fun car if you can find one that hasn't been driven into the ground or ruined with dumbass aftermarket parts. Corollas are boring transportation appliances.
