Is a Digital Speedometer possible in a 240?

No this is not what you think lol. When I say a digital speedometer I mean like the one found in s2000's where its a LED display. Has this been done before?

well i used to have a 1990 240sx (single cam), and it have a digital speedometer. is that what you mean?

yeah my 92 had one that i just pulled

thinking about it now, i don't think it's LED though, so i guess his question is valid and still unanswered!

yeah it can involve you using the red button labeled search and looking up HUD and looking for threads that have pictures. Alas, the s13 one has a digital read out, but not ala led.

If you're looking for something like that, you can try picking up the sard stack.

Like it but not quite, only the speedometer is digital the rest is analogue with needs for the temp, gas. Little lights for the various things like high beam, anti lock brakes, door openning, etc. The odometer is just a normal spinning one

thats the coupe cluster, well half of it. rpm gauge is analogue.i dont have a pic of it projecting on the windshield, but its just the #'s and not mph/kmh.

I know my 1993 has a HUD and a digital lsd cause it is SE. Well if yours was a SE yeah but don't know about the cars with analog speedo.

So this what people were talking about when they said it was possible to swap that over to say, the fastbacks correct? I wouldnt want the hud just the actual digital speedometer.

I have another question....is it possible to change the color to say, red? Im assuming that its white normally.

yeah you can swap clusters. just make sure you get the correct cluster for your engine. you have sohc? get sohc cluster from a sohc coupe. have dohc? get dohc from dohc coupe. the hud comes with it, but you can turn it off.not sure about the color change.

Almost anything is possible if you go through with it.

Get a basic AIM, it costs about the same as a nice set of gauges and you can hook any number of things to it and its a data logger.
