I have a 1994 Q45a with 135,000 miles that's in fair condition (a few dents, scratches, dings -- but not too bad for a 15 year old car). It runs, drives ok but the accumulators are a little flat. I have it for sale for $2250 and was wondering if it's worth that price?

I know the car could be parted out for decent money but I'd rather see it go to someone who will keep it going. What's the opinion of the enthusiasts here?

Thanks

The active suspension, even if working correctly makes it a tough sell for anyone who knows the added expense and attention required to correctly maintain it.

I would assume there is rust issues also based on your location? Never seen a 15 year old car from Mn. without rust.

It's got some rust bubbles along the bottom but not really rusty at all. The car was originally from Texas so it hasn't spent it's whole life up here, only 2/3 of it.

Well Ideally if your want to "Test waters" or really sell it you have to post it here: zeroforum/191But mataince histrory, Infiniti Service history, reciptrs and a Car fax report would go a long way in selling it.

Pictures are always welcome too.

But I would buy it, I have always at least want to ride in a restored Active suspension car.

Isn't that like being a little bit pregnant?

Corrosion is a great destroyer of value. Competent remedial body work is far more expensive than mechanical replacement of parts.

Guy who lived in Ohio in his youth told me about buying a 1967 Cougar new. In a year it had bubbles on the fender opeings. He took it back to the dealer and said, "What the hey?" Dealer said "It's your hay now!" He parked it for two years in the garage and when he went back to restore it, the fenders were flapping in the wind and the floorboards gone. He sold it for $500 to someone who wanted the motor.
