Is 97 J30 similar enough to swap some parts with Altima?

I have a 97 J30 and need to replace the splash guard (or engine cover or belt guard or call it something else) under the engine. I'm hoping there is a Nissan car that allows that to be an interchangable part. Infiniti dealer wants to order it for me for $175. Homey don't wanna play that way. thanks for any good suggestions.

The J and Altima are two totally different cars. I'd try a junk yard, repair/rig the old one, or ride without one.

I had the same problem about three years ago. I tried every parts and junk yard in my area and got nothing. Parts like that are usually removed to get to the mechanical stuff, so I went to the dealer and paid like $160 for it. Ouch. There are a coulple guys on Nico that are parting out their Js. You might give them a try.

The J shares some parts related to the mechanics with 300zx. Other than that every other part is J specific and can only be found at dealers, our sponsors(cheaper than a dealer) or salvage yards(good luck) and from time to time on Ebay.
