is $375 for j30 lsd too much?

what do they usually go up for. I just called an auto part place for a j30 lsd and they say its $375 with four months warranty. reasonable price or no?

what year is off of? if it's the newer one, then it's too much, but if it's the older one, then the price sounds about right (only if the axles are included).

it is off a 95 j30 without the axles

i have a 95 240sx so i dont need the axles

$375 sounds too high. I was quoted $250 for a S14 diff. He said its the same price for VLSD or open.

Got an entire rear subframe from a 180sx including vlsd, 5bolt shafts, all control arms, spindles, brakes, all for $50

Phase2 is selling JDM 180sx VLSD w/5bolt shafts for $350, a pretty fair price, considering I've seen the VLSD alone go for $350 on other forum classifieds.

Will actually make you slower since the gearing is 3.92 instead of 4.10 in the stock open diff.

I paid 325 for my j30 VLSD

i got r32 vlsd (still r200 but bigger oil pan) with 5 bolt axles for 350... installed

can't beat the 50$ deal though

stock gearing is not 4.10 in the s13. It's 3.08

All 240s have a 4.098 rear end gear my freind but i now have a 3.918 do to my j30 diff

charlie's right, except that some of the older models had a 4.3 pumpkin (the 5-star output shaft 240's).

And it doesnt really make you that slower, it just makes you pick up some power in the high end.
