my sr20 is running really rich and has an oil problem(pan needs to be resealed and need new catch can setup). I called a dyno shop and they gave me two options. They said for $150/hr they could tune the safc II i have OR they could set me up with a Power FC which costs round $800 then dyno tune that for $500. They suggested that i go with the power fc because i will get a lot more out of it then then mine's mapped ecu that i have.

my car hasn't been running well since i had the KA still. I really wanna drive this thing badly and i dont have enough money right now to do the power fc thing, but i want my car to perform. Is it worth the wait to get the power fc or does it make no difference?

i plan to drift and daily drive this car at the same time. Mostly daily drive though until i get my suspension...lemme know your thoughts

What power level are you looking at?

Looks like a stock turbo manifold in your pic?

Why not just get a JWT or Enthalpy ecu and be done?

i want as close to 300hp as i can get because thats what i was promised with the gt2860rs and all the goodies i have in my sr. do JWT's and Enthalpy's have to be tuned? imma check how much those ecu's are in comparison to the Power FC...$1300 is what im looking at to get it at full capacity...

you email jwt or enthalpy tell them your setup send them your ecu... and woalaaa your tuuned and ready to go. No other tuning needed. They give you a relaible tune making good power... Only costs 500 bucks...

If i did it all again, id go Power FC right away. It becomes a waste doing retune after retune and still not getting the most out of the car with Mail Order Tunes. One off dyno tuning is the best way to go. And dont use SAFCII. There junk on our cars. SAFC works by adjusting MAF Voltage which changes Fuel and Timing.
