Is 17 x 8 +35 and 17 x 9 +38 okay on S13?

Im looking into a set of Work Euroline rims with the following size:

Front: 17 x 8 +35 (R disk) Rear: 17 x 9 +38 (O disk)

My car is lowered with HKS Hipermax D coilovers, I wonder if these rims will fit without issues.

Thanks!

They will fit, but only if you stretch your front tires.

I'm planning to stretch the front using 225/45/17, hopefully that would work.

Thanks pal!

A 225 on an 8" is not a stretch. It will rub the spring. Mount a 215, or use a spacer.

Glad that you told me, I didn't know it would be that tight in the front.

What about 225/40/17, would that be okay with the lower profile?

For the rear, Im planning to run 245/40/17 or 255/40/17. What would you recommend?

lowering the profile won't really help with clearance. You might actually get away with the 225 depending on the tire and precise size of the springs, but most likely you won't. For the rear, 245 is a good fit on a 9, and you don't want to have too much of a front to rear size stagger.

naed240sx,I am in a same boat. I just bought 17x8 +38 rims for my S13 and can't decide tire size. I can use a set of 5mm spacers, so you can say offset is +33. I'm planning on getting KTS coilovers. 225/45 tires won't work in the front? Then I'll go with 215/45. Here's my plan.

if front is 215/45 then rear will be 235/40if front is 225/45 then rear will be 245/40

I wonder if 235 or 245 in the rear will require fender rolling. You seem to know well about S13 tire and rim combination. Please help!!!

It's 17x8 +38 all the way around and I have a set of 5mm spacers. I should go 215/45 Front & 235/40 Rear too?

Most people told me to go with 215/45 F & 235/40 R, but I was wondering 10mm on the tire will make that much of a difference. You know what I mean? If you look at 215 & 225 tires side by side, difference is not so big. I prefer 225/45 F & 245/40 R combination, but it looks like I'll be better off with 215 F & 235 R. Like most people, I don't want to go through trouble.

NO. Please dont stagger your tires if your wheels are the same size all the way around. Its just stupid. Get 215/45 all the way around. You can reduce understeer, improve tire life by rotating, and not look like an idiot with stretched tires up front and buldging tires in the rear.

Please listen to this. It is rediculous to stagger tires on equally sized rims. Just don't do it.
