Hey guys,

I will be changing the plugs in my truck this weekend and confused on which ones to buy. I was thinking either the NGK platinums or the Iridiums. The Iridiums are double the price of the platinums and I was curious if it was really worth it? I have seen there has been alot on this topic but i wanted to know which was best for the 3.5L.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the dealer sells the platinum plugs. As far as which is better I have no idea. When you do it if you could take pics of each step that would be really helpful.

From what I can tell the iriduim are simply going to last longer than the platinum - but the platimum are likely to last 100,000 miles! There is no decernable different in spark - they either ignite the fuel or they don't.

I put iriduim plugs and nice blue NGK plug wires in my 240sx convertible more for looks but there is no difference in performance. Now, a cold air intake, bigger exhaust, etc. might buy you a few horsepower.
