My '08 Coupe, 3.5 has 110k miles on original plugs with no sign of mis-fire or reduced performance.

Pulling the back 3 involves taking off the intake manifold, so I've been dragging my feet on R&R.

My primary concern is frozen plugs and would appreciate advice from anyone who has done a high-mileage plug change.

Thanks

I'd just hop to it and deal with frozen if actually encountered. To play it safe, use PB blaster on the plugs the night before. Let them soak overnight. The next morning, with engine block nice and cold, get the socket on there and tighten each plug like 1/32 of a turn, then loosen them. TBH, I don't think you'll have any issue and can just unscrew them. The car is relatively new in the grand scheme of car things (ie. less than 20 years), so I really don't think all this playing it safe will be necessary. Be careful when removing and assembling your intake so as not to accidentally introduce a vacuum leak.

thanks for your advice, centralcoaster33!

While I doubt anyone is trying to set a longevity record for iridium plugs, I'd like to hear from anyone who has pushed them beyond my 110k.
