You can't post this without providing some detail on the trans! How much? Is this your old one? Replacement? Details please...I'm gathering data on my own trans overhaul.

looks nice there superbe sure you put in a NEW genuine turbine sensor.

dry--you mean before the tq conv fills up? i put 4 in the sump, start up and get ready to pour quickly.

Rick I demand a phone call once the trans is broken in and you have mad stupidity..

its going to transform your car...

BTW, its quite the change from when you were talking about selling the car to dumping more dough into it. Game set and match.

Wow, I really need something like that. I am pretty sure I'm loosing a bunch of power through the transmission as it is now. Slips way too much, shifts are weak. I imagine it's only a matter of time before I kill it unless I do something about it soon.

There are a couple of local trans shops that have really good reputations. I need to check with them on their Nissan/Infiniti experience. New Jersey's a little out of my way...

Back a couple monthes ago I was looking at a law suit. We settled out of court and things have turned for the better!

Now I'm broke, not because of man-because of the Q!!!

Use a Consult to data log the launch speed vs rpm vs turbine sensor rpm in 0.03 second increments. Convert data to a graph to visalize what incremental improvements can achieve.

Up to 3-4 mph the rear differential has the highest frictional loss other than tire road interface.

Experiment with different ATF to otimize ATF temp vs frictional losses in TC.

An ideal TC would have a separate ATF supply than the the body of transmission this is the negative compromise that oem cars have.A temp [viscosity] that is good for one is bad for the other!

Use the Redline D4, as the high temp fluid is not optimal in cooler weather, and the new D6 is thinner than the d4.

I have had excellent results using the D4 fluid, changed every 25K {overkill for this fluid},and currently have almost 209,000 miles on original transmission that still works perfectly

Also, be sure to plumb an external filter into the cooler line, either the factory one from the 94-96Q or a magnafine, or a motoroil style replacable filter.

I'm using the D4. Already put a filter in when I did the cooler.

Next week it goes in. It's going to tie the lift up for a couple days. We have been kinda busy and we need all the lifts. Looking forward to feeling the difference. Don't worry Wes you can drive it when you come to Carlisle.

If it survives the "Wes Test" we'll know it's strong!

I treated it fine... I did nothing to harm it (well except maybe the excessive tire roasting)... I just use it as designed.

IPT does great work. I had them do a TC, VB and additional transmission cooler in my Titan.

The Titan put down 414 hp at the wheel.

Trany came out beautiful, having issues with the tc! I'm overnighting mine to precision. They say there are 3 different options. Should be back in friday.

I'm listing the transmission on ebay. 86K miles, if anyone is interested in it let me know. Pick up.

When you posted that you were going with the PI converter, the first thought I had was: "I hope it fits without any problems."

What did you get and what were you supposed to get?

Well lets see, the first one was for a 240, the second was for a 300z turbo, hopefully three times a charm! Racked up $600 or so in overnights! Whats the deal with PI, sijoko?

That really sucks. Maybe you should have sent them pics of your car so that they can match up the proper part. Hope you finally get the right one this time and I can't wait to see some pics!

btw congrats on the auction.

They said the Q has three different one's based on size. I sent them mine to match it up. Hopefully I'll get the right one!

I was happy about the auction, although I wanted to get $9,500.That particular model is very hard to find.

Do you know what the 3 sizes are?

The SS Daytona white dial is always desirable and rare, but replaceable. If you ever need another in the future, I can help get one for the right price.

I'm not sure of the specs, but the height and bolt pattern for the flywheel was the issue. Sending it in will hopefully get me the right one!

I can't really give any real opinion on Precision Industries. I just remembered another NICO member who had problems with their PI converter not matching.
