Ipod with 06 coupe/bose system?

apologies if this has been discussed - new here. I have an 06 coupe with the Bose 6 CD changer, and want to purchase an iPod adaptor/interface (USA spec or similar) -but am being told not possible with the Bose deck as it must have a CD/Change button. Is this accurate? Any hard-wire options for this? Like many tried the fm transmitter options and it sucks. Any help would be appreciated.
