There is a bug in Infiniti's iPod interface that doesn't allow the iPod to go to sleep when you turn the car off. Then, if the car sits unused for a couple of days, the iPod's internal battery slowly drains to the point that it needs a recharge. If that happens, when you next start the car, the iPod "forgets" your last selection because it can't retain those settings with a dead battery.
This is VERY annoying with podcasts and audio books. As long as an iPod's battery is even partially charged, it will remember your playing points for dozens of different podcasts and books. You can switch among them and start up where you left off whenever you want. But the minute the iPod's battery goes dead, those settings are lost.
You can all test this for yourselves.... Use your iPod connected to your EX35 normally, shut off the car and leave it alone for 10 minutes, and then come back and open the console and look at your iPod's screen. You'll see that it is still on. Not playing, but still on. I won't go to sleep, even in pause (as it should), as long as it is connected to the Infiniti.
