Back when I still had my iPod classic, my entire library, which consists of roughly 9,500 songs.

Now I keep about 350-400 on the iPod touch and 150-200 on my phone (HTC EVO)

I think it as like 130 songs on there. They were all cool when i DLed them but they're getting crusty now and it will be years before i like them again. My girlfriend is all 'meh dont use shareware meh' and ill be damned if im paying for that many songs.

Even worse the memory in my car is all screwy from the last owner and i didn't feel like running the wire for the radio when i installed it, so it starts on track 1 every time i get in the car. If i hear 'dude looks like a lady' one more f*cking time...

A thousandish. Most of the time, however, I use an MP3 CDRW with about a hundred songs I switch around.

Instead of youtube, try Grooveshark. :)

Just under a thousand... 4.17 GB on a 80 GB ipod.

Anyone else have waaay to big of an ipod for their music? Even if I put everything from itunes on it, it'd still only be 9 GB.

I've only had a few albums on my phone 10 tops. When I lived with my buddy chris, we had 70k on the server at one point. I know he had like 35k on his Ipod classic. Geez, I still burn myself a cd when I want to listen outside the house, I need to upgrade.

You could always get bigger file sizes... that's what I have over 12 Gigs filled with only 630 songs... the quality of sound is fantastic!

That's not necessarily how it works tho, the file size is not always an indicator of superior sound.

Yea, but better sounding files are bigger, and pezi is an audiophile, so in his case it is.
