I have an 09 sl with the ipod/bluetooth and the cruise and abs, and I love it! I just drove my v down from Oregon to LA and the cruise control worked wonderfully. Good choice in the trade in. I too love my bluetooth, it works great, and plus your ahead of the game because of a lot of states are switching over to handsfree driving, so you have to have bluetooth. The ipod connection works great, really easy to use. I do however wish I had the upgrade where you can control your ipod from your stereo controls. But that was just another cost to consider. Have a good drive down, it's awesome!DrivingHabit wrote:I traded in my 2007 s with no abs no cruise. my 2007 had flaws so i traded in for an 2009 sl with abs, cruise was the features i was looking for. The Ipod feature I could of lived without.
Im planning to drive down to California this summer, cruise control will help tons.

An ipod interface (so you just plug it in and control it through your deck) was an option when I bought mine, not sure if it was available on the S but definatly was on the SL.iluvmyVersa08 wrote:

Yes in Ontario they have passed the bill that bans drivers from using cell phones while driving. I'm glad I have the bluetooth option now!
Hmm. I wonder if I have that. I did get every available option on the V at the time of purchase last April. I have the SL fully loaded.ADOversa wrote:An ipod interface (so you just plug it in and control it through your deck) was an option when I bought mine, not sure if it was available on the S but definatly was on the SL.
Fortunatly we have until fall to give up hand held devices. This new law includes things like ipods too . At least you can get bluetooth headsets for phones.
So even though I don't have bluetooth I should still be able to talk handsfree???iluvmyVersa08 wrote:

I have bluetooth so I won't need the headset when the law does take effect. Did you get bluetooth in your V? If you don't have bluetooth, there is a built in mic in the car so you don't need a headset. You just dial the number and talk.
I'll have to look at my ipod thing though. I have the AUX plug but I haven't tried controlling it through the deck. I'll test it out tomorrow.
Oh okay. No I don't have that ipod thing.ADOversa wrote:

And as for the ipod thing, you have to have the plug where it goes into the bottom of your ipod. Definatly check into it! Although the aux. jack on your radio won't do it. It will be a cable that goes in behind your dash and hooks into the back of your stereo.
Basically: No. Not without a ton of work of wiring and replacing everything.mdamatas wrote:Does someone knows if I can add Bluetooth to my stock radio? I have a CD/MP3 (1 Disk) unit, with Aux in.
Here's the pic:
Ohhh ok I misunderstood your post. The headset is just this little ear piece that you put in and it has a mic on it as well and it connects with your phone and doesn't really have anything to do with the car. So my blackberry would just connect to that if I wanted to take a calliluvmyVersa08 wrote:

As for bluetooth, I'm assuming you can get a headset for your phone. I don't really know how it works though if you do not have bluetooth in the car. You might still need to use your phone to dial out and then just talk through the headset.
However, with the bluetooth in the V you push a button on the steering wheel and say who you want to call and it dials it for you. You don't need to pick up the phone at all. And you do not need a headset.
However, since you don't have bluetooth I guess you'll have to use a headset. I'm not too sure how it works though. Maybe someone on here uses a headset w/out having the V's bluetooth and can explain how it works for them.
They had a handsfree bill last week and it didn't pass last Monday. It was suppose to ban the use of talking on cell while driving. Good thing it didn't pass, it's a dumb law IMO. If I want to talk on my phone, I can in a responsible manner without getting distracted. Those who can't talk and drive shouldn't in the first place. Let people make the decision to talk on their phone and drive, just be responsible and not have the government control everything.iluvmyVersa08 wrote:
