I just got my 2008 G35x and when I hook up my 160 GB iPod I have two issues. The first issue is that it only shows the list of Artists when I initially hook up the iPod. If I leave the iPod in the car, the next time I start the car the list of Artists does not appear. I then have to disconnect and then reconnect the iPod in order for the list to reappear. The other issue has to do with scrolling the 1000+ artists that I have on my iPod. I haven't found a way to quickly skip to the end of list. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

I'm not sure about having to disconnect and connect it again. Does the screen just say "iPod" on it and you can't get out of it?

If that's the case, hit the DSC button and it will return to the iPod main menu.

As for scrolling through your 1000's of artists, here's what I've done to get around that. I just went through on itunes and made sure that every album and artist was set up correctly with the genre. It took me pretty much a whole day to make sure that genre's were set, albums were set, etc, so that things didn't conflict or overlap. However, in the end it was well worth it. Now I can easily select genre, pick say Rock or something, and only have a handful of artists to scroll through, and then pick the album, etc. Hope that helps.

It drives me nuts how slow the search is. I also noticed that sometimes the I-pod continues to play without me touching anything, and some times I have to hit the DSC button to continue song play. I think if you hit the "OK" button for navi that it pauses the I-Pod, but if you just wait about 30 seconds and don't touch anything the I-Pod will start playing on it's own. I've only had the car for two weeks so I haven't completely figured it out.
