iPod - iPhone integration for base sound system upgrade.

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I own an EX with the basic sound system. Everything is perfect about the vehicle the only thing I'm mising is being able to control my iPod directly from the sound system. I curently use it through the AUX input, but I have to control the iPod directly, manually. Is there any way to upgrade the system and allow acces to iPod direct control?

I've been searching for info on the subject and to my surprise I heve not been able to get any conclusive answers.

Is there a factory option? If anyone can lead me in the right the direction, it would be much appreciated.

regards.

I found this part the description seems to be what I´m looking for but it´s for the FX no the EX:[url=http://www.infiniti-parts.com/catalog.p ... 08%20only)[/url]

I also found these, but I´m not sure if it integrates into the sound system´s interface. I want to scroll using the display.http://www.nissanipod.com/stor....aspx

The fully integrated iPod interface is a factory installed option (it comes as part of the Premium Package and NOT the base model). It differs from the audio input jack (for standard MP3 players) ... if your vehicle has this it also comes with the harness needed to hook up the iPod (it is a long connector that connects to the iPod itself and not it's headphone jack). I think it can be installed by the dealer (for several hundred dollars) if you do not have the Premium Package.
