Probably should go in the A/V section, so sedans can have the chance to see it as well (it would work for them also).Infantry1327 wrote:Has any one heard about a ipod interface being released for the a/c with tech package yet. I don't think its available on the 09 A/C... it is on the 09 Muranos with LE package, but not the A/C... you can add this to the 1000 reasons one should forego the tech package and get an aftermarket NAV/DVD player.... cheaper with better/more options... how does this not make sense?AppleBonker wrote:

I don't believe there is one out yet. I think a lot of people are hoping that this may be included when the '09 coupes arrive. You'll unfortunately have to wail until then, it seems.
Preaching to the choir on this one. But, for those with the tech package, it would be nice if Nissan could throw together an iPod adapter so they can obtain somewhat better functionality out of it. I can't imagine it would be that hard (probably just a firmware update?).rjdmmfl1 wrote:

Yeah, it wouldn't be that difficult at all, as I mentioned, they have it on the 09 Murano... and i sort of take back my previous statement... For many, having the NAV w/ rear view camera already as a package is enough for them, also, if you don't know how to install the stuff yourself, then the install can easily run you ~$500 +, thus negating the financial benefits of going aftermarket.AppleBonker wrote:

I don't think so. The Muranos are completely different. Until Nissan gets one out for the Alti, it's going to be really tough to do. If anyone were to write their own code for it, it would certainly void the warranty on your nav. Plus, if the nav was ever updated, it would lose the iPod functionality that someone made aftermarket (and I don't think anyone has succesfully done this yet).Infantry1327 wrote:Yea I was going to throw this on the audio video section, but i was hopeing it would catch more eyes on this page.
Also are there any other model cars running the same nav screen. If so then maybe they will have the interface and one of you more computer savy people could try and write some firm ware. I have some computer geek friends and I will try and see what they can come up with as well.
Correct. It would be hard to prove that the amp/sub messed something else up. The head unit, however, would be simple for them to make the claim. Also, if a sub and amp are installed, they can easily be uninstalled if you're that worried about it.Infantry1327 wrote:So would that mean adding a new sub and amp also void the warrantee. Or only if the amp is the direct cause of a problem.
bina12834 wrote:yes, there has been an ipod interface for the non navigation stereo system out for quite a while now.
we're talking about an ipod interface for tech package with the navigation system.
Let's keep this thread on topic about the iPod adapter. Ask this question over in the A/V forums and you might get some more help.Infantry1327 wrote:ok cool thanks for the info. Even thow this is off topic.
I am thinking about putting a 12" JL w7 in my trunk, and i am going to have a shop build a fiber glass box for me. But even though i have done alot of my own research I still don't know which amp to go with. AppleBonker do you have any suggestions?
if you dont have the nav system, you can purchase the ipod adapter from your dealership.LegendRacer wrote:
where can we get this? and how much would it cost? is it just a plug in or a really hard install?
