Im thinkign about getting my iPod Interface installed through Best Buy, it will cost $50 as compared to $200 from the dealer. But im kinda skeptical about installation from best buy. I dont want scratched on my dash, that what i got last time when i had it done on my old car.

the question is, should i ? or should i not do it from best buy?

1. Non-Bose - No XM.2. Non-Bose - No iPod Interface.

You have to plug the iPod into your AUX jack on the factory stereo OR get an FM transmitter for the iPod (which sounds like a** cause it's FM).

Solution: Buy a nav unit, get an iPod interface cable. Done.

Yes, because I have it on mine. The factory ipod connection kit works just fine on the non-bose headunit. It plugs into the back of the unit where the xm would plug in if your car had it, and runs through the headunit via the xm channels. The install was not hard to do, just pull the radio out, plug the ipod box in, secure it in the dash, run the ipod cable to the glovebox or cubby hole, and then put it all back together. Took me maybe an hour.

That guide is for changing out the entire system which you don't need, but it does show step by step how to take out the factory headunit (it shows the nav system, but its the same procedure on the regular headunit). Putting it back in is the same process just in reverse.

I am a manager at best buy... I would say if your trying to keep your stock we do have the isimple connection to add an aux/iPod it's about 50-150 depending if you just want aux or you want the direct ipodcable that will charge and give you better sound

HELP!! TRYING TO INSTALL THE INTERFACE FOR MY iPOD WITH NO LUCK!! Do you have the part number for the interface and the harness? Which radio do you have / what is the part number on the front... I have been trying to put this in my wife's car for 3 weeks, and even Nissan does not know why it will not work.

THANKS!!!

Got it done! First mod done to my car =D.

Best buy did a great job, no scratches or anything. Altogether paid $257 (parts and labor).

I have a stock radio (NO BOSE, NO SAT). Purchased this ( http://www.leeparts.com/nissan....html ), the $197 one. Got it installed by best buy for $50.

There are 2 different ones, make sure you have the right one. If you do have the right one, might be a faulty part; cause there were couple guys who had to RMA it back and get another one.
