I DO NOT know of any such connector/device. I believe the FM modulator is the only way.

I purchased an XM/iPod kit from a seller on eBay named: integration_solutions.

The iPod kit works well and the name/title displays on my screen. It also charges the iPod and I can control it from the radio. Overall it's a great product.
