I dont understand. I thought the premium package came with the ipod connector. If you have the plug, but are missing the actual cable, the dealer should get you one. It should have been in the vehicle when you bought it. My issue was that I had the ipod connection and the correct wire, but the car would not charge my iphone! Apple caused the problem when they changed the power input on the 3g and 3gs phones. Easy solution, both griffin and schloche make an adapter that goes between the iphone and the firewire. $29 online. Bestbuy does not sell them yet but Fry's has the schloche one. Griffins is a little smaller.

Josh, I am Sorry. I was tired and did not read your post correctly. You DO NOT have the premium package...ok disregard my nonsense above. Sorry that I have no useful info for you.

When I bought my G37 I did a lot of searching, to see if there was a way to get the cars computer to interface with the iPod, as you may already know, this is a very hard task. I stopped searching, and just went ahead an purchased it with the Premium Package (Bose included ). I think you just need to accept the fact, that the only interface would be using an Aux cable.

The adapater you're talking about would it also work for an ipod nano? I use to use my husband's old ipod and it charged just fine and was in the car for months. However, I got a new ipod nano and the adapter does not support charging. I have to take out the ipod at a least every few days to charge it. It is very annoying. I have a 2008 G37.

you need something like this, the old format was to charge along the firewire rails, newer ipods charge on the usb rails
