First, make your posts easy to read, its a cluster of words one after the next.

Second, please do a SLIGHT search, just saying you know you are supposed to isnt enough...

I had to point out that thats one of the newest guys to get the factory ipod cable installed, and would be a source of good info (or atleast a start)

OP its no problem, but when someone has a short attention span (phenom etc) they wont be able to read thru the whole text~!

hey that's me!

iirc it was like 100-200 or something, easy install and very good quality

If you're keeping factory radio it's worth it; only complaint is that cant change songs on ipod with factory steering wheel controls.

For aftermarket stereos the hookups are like 50-100 I think, so yeah it's more but it works beautifully and you could probably find one on courtesyparts.com for less then I paid.

yep

it has features to switch between playlists, search for songs, genres, artists, turn on random repeat etc.

If you have 40 gigs of music like me though searching for an artist takes a while (like 2 minutes to get to the middle of the alphabet of artists for me)

searching for a particular song you might as well take the ipod out and find it then plug back in (unless you have only like 100 songs lol)

It's a bit more than a cord; it's some kind of control module thingus with a cord that attaches to the back of your stereo. Basically you take your dash apart, drill a hole in your glove box for the cord to run through, mount the module somewhere and plug it in.

At some point the battery gets disconnected and reconnected as well. lol

Hardest part for me was finding a drill bit and figuring out my dash

if you really need help I could give a bit better explanation

I just got mine through the dealership

http://www.nissanusa.com/altimacoupe/accessories.html

website price is quoted, might contact courtesy parts to see if they can offer it for that see the website above is 30 bucks more

idk how to find it on courtesy parts since it's not listed under accessories and it's not a factory item usually

edit: interface harness needs to come with the cable, read notes
