My last car, 2001 Xterra SE, had an awesome stereo system by Alpine that had iPod integration. I miss having my iPod on hand and hate the iPod connection in my Versa SL. Has anyone installed the HK Drive + Play? It looks pretty awesome and I would rather have it connected via AUX instead of FM station.

Jeez, everyone has a question about changing the speakers. Changing the speakers will improve clarity for sure, but you will ideally want 2ohm speakers rather than the more popular 4ohm speakers. The stock HU puts out an estimated 10-15Wx4 so a 4ohm speaker would cut that in half, in other words, you would lose a lot of power and if you ever wanted your music louder, it wouldn't go as loud as it would with the OEM speakers, as per the added impedence. You could always amp the speakers, but there aren't any preamp outs on the stock HU, so you'd also want an equalizer paired up with the amp to control it on demand, but now you're talking about more money and frustration rather than changing the HU altogether.

I JUST posted my question. It's still right near the top. Why start yet another thread with the same question? At least first I made an attempt to locate the thread that had already answered my question before starting a new one.

Marley, Jem... easy on the guy... k? He actually asked TWO questions in this thread, one is perfectly legit that I haven't seen an answer to.

dalversa - they're right, though... this question has actually been answered in two previous threads, one of which is still on the first page. Please spend the time to search a little first. Your speaker question has already been answered. This thread is, however, appropriate for your question on the integration unit.

Hey, thanks for backing me up.

Remember, this site is to INFORM and not all of us are geniuses when it comes to cars, electronics, etc. As for my questions, to make everyone happy, I've deleted the question that talks about speakers.

K, I wasn't "pissed off," I was simply surprised from the sudden common interest of changing speakers within the last week. It's as if everyone on the forum was spoken to by the same muse who informed them to do so. No offense was intended.
