...where you can control using the steering wheel controls. (I.e. like the 2010 A/C) Possible? If so how easy and or expensive is it?

I tried the search button, didnt find anything that answered my question.

Dont think thats possible without an aftermarket deck. Even then, you need an additional control module to use the steering wheel controls.

This also should be in Audio/Video...

do you think the nissan dealership would be able to incorporate the 2010 a/c audio system into a 2009?

Granted i'm sure it would cost an arm and leg from them.

Yes, your right. You are much better off investing in a much better aftermarket system.

The factory iPod adapter works just fine in my car, I don't know why everyone always thinks it doesn't and you have to go aftermarket. If you have the regular cd headunit or the bose changer (non-nav) Nissan sells an iPod connection kit that runs it through the xm input. Songs show up on the screen and you can change them on the wheel. It was under $200 and well worth it.

The PAC module? Little blue one? Simple soldering, hooked up, programmed. Works great here with my Pioneer unit. I've heard some horror stories though lol.

Did you buy it from the dealership? Self install?

Excuse me if my questions are noob-ish

I bought mine on ebay from a Nissan dealer that sells stuff on there. It was Lee Chrysler Jeep Nissan or something from Maine. The price was good, and they shipped it really quick, good seller. It just plugs into the harness on the back of the radio and you attach the box somewhere up in the dash so it doesn't rattle around. The iPod cord is supposed to be routed to the glovebox so you can lock it in there, but I ran mine into the cubby hole. It plays through the xm function of the headunit, if you have xm already it switches over the ipod when you plug it in, and when you unplug it, it will change back to xm. If you don't have xm (like me) it just says "no ipod" on the screen until you change the source back to the radio or cd.

Tapping into input wires, soldering in resistors, and programming....

Extremely complicated as compared to other units in other cars.

Hey guys, this may be worth looking into. DICE Electronics makes a kick a** plug and play system that I used to have in my BMW. Might be worth looking into seeing if this one fits the altima coupe, considering the picture is of the altima.

That's it. If you order it be sure to give them your vin number, because there are two part numbers for it and they initially sent me the incorrect one. They were very good though, and shipped the other with a return UPS label so I could send the first one back.

I will tell you know that the menu system for it is not the best and can be quite difficult to get use to. I use my iPod on shuffle constantly and basically just use the steering wheel buttons to advance if I don't want to hear that song that came up. Also its worth noting that this system does not charge the newer style ipods and iphones. It won't charge my 3g iphone, but I bought an old square ipod nano off ebay for $50 and it charges and plays great and I cant just leave it hooked up all the time.
