Hi !

I just got my Versa, and I am verry happy with it. I wish to hookup my iphone into the car stereo. I am look at iSimple hookup with an harness, but I'm not sure my car stereo will support it. I am look to install the PXAMG with the PGHNI2 harness.

I have a 2009 Versa S, with the base stereo (non cd-charger) :

Will it fit on this radio ?

PXAMG with the PGHNI2 harness

how much are these 2 items?

You are better off getting the cd changer radio which has aux out. No extra wires or installations needed. It can be had for around $225-250 CDN.

I've seen those for about 125$ US plus shipping. The adventage is that the radio controls the ipod with this kind of connection.

there might be a ipod cable you can get from the dealer. I believe I seen it in the accessories book at the dealer. Not sure if it works with the base radio though.

Thanks, I did find it in my searches, but it's more expensive than the iSimple one and it requires the SL radio.

I called my dealer to know the price for the SL radio, and the parts clerk said to me that putting an SL radio into a Versa 1.8S cannot be done... I seriously doubt it.

Do you know where can I found a SL radio besides dealer's parts departement ?

Great, it's working perfectly. For the moment, I use the 3.5mm aux input for my iPhone. I'm seaching people who have the Pxamg unit, I have some question about it. Since I listen to alot of podcast, I was woundering about the control of an iphone for that mater...

I'm amazed at the BS dealerships spew out. That person should have been punched in the face for saying the SL radio can't hook up into a S Versa.

Dealers are full of crap, take what they have to say with a grain of salt.

I know Honda sells an addon for the Fit with the upgraded radio to allow Ipod hook up.

I wonder if Nissan has something like it.

Yes, they do, they also over-priced it (I think it's in the range of 250$, compared to 160 or so for the iSimple solution), and I also read that it specificly said that it's not working with an iPhone (I have an iPhone).
