IPod Gen best with EX

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Since i just went through this here is what your looking for. The following will charge without an adapter.

iPod Classic Any GeniPod Nano 3rd Gen iPhone 1st Gen IPod Touch 1st Gen

You can adapter to charge any of the more recent ones but these will work and charge without an adapter. I personally grabbed an 8gb 3rd Gen Nano to keep in the car. Check out ebay to find some cheap old nano's and classics

I have a classic iPod (3rd gen click wheel) and picked up a new USB cable for it from Apple. Plugged it into my new 2010 EX, and got an error message on the NAV diplay to "Check your iPod/USB device." My iPod works fine in my BMW 530i, and when I tried my husband's iPod Video, it works just fine. So, I don't think the EX supports ALL the classic iPod models.

Solution was to download my iTunes library to a thumbdrive, plugged it in and have all my music.

Question to other USB stick users: When playing from USB, if you are listening to a song and try to browse your folders/files, the system immediate changes to the song you are browsing to. I noticed this does NOT happen when using an iPod. With an iPod, you can be listening to one song, and browse for another without the system changing until you actually select that new song. Is this a system limitation with USB sticks? Or, am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

nope, that just happens with the thumb drive. I also noticed that it wasn't letting me hit BACK in music box. but if i go slow i can scroll backwards through my music list....but none of this is an issue with the ipod...lol very peculiar
