Ipod Connector problem

Hi, I've had my G37 for a few months and mostly enjoyed it. (6MT Sport)

Recently though, the Ipod connector has started to physically break at the point where it plugs into the Ipod. It also only connects sporadically.

I plan to take it to the dealer for replacement. I am disappointed in the connector's robustness. Also, there isn't really a place to put the Ipod except in the box where the connector is located, so there is too much stress on the parts when moving it around.

Has anyone else had the same issue?
