Hi guys

Got our Versa SL this week (Canadian version). No dealer in Toronto could offer us the SL with tech. package, unless we were prepared to wait 8 weeks... Which means I'm left with ipod nano and no aux. input.

FM transmittter is not an option, because of sound quality.Google gave me these solutions:

http://www.icarkits.com/?gclid...29Ngwh ... uc...M-014

My questions are : does anyone have experience with any of these? Any other good alternatives?

Poor Canucks!

The upgraded Radio (without subwoofer) is standard on the SL in US. Of course you guys are getting all the ABS parts up there.

Interesting how they play tit-for-tat in different markets but still dealing with that bottom line.

Although the so-called "premium" radio is only "premium-stock" in my opinion. It's ok at best, but not even close to decent as far as aftermarket radios and speakers go.

I'm bumping this topic because I too need the answer to this same question. Anyone have a good solution to iPod connectivity? I bought the Griffin Roadtrip, but the sound just doesn't cut it. Any integrated solutions out there?

I have an SL with an aux' input on the radio for the i-pod, but IMHO looking at the set up to make it all behave, would create a rats nest of wires for the line in, and 12 volt charger to keep it fresh, plus an ugly stick on dash mount to hold the i-pod. I do have a one GB i-pod, but can't see ever using it in the Versa. I already have a Valentine One radar detector and a Garmin GPS running off a 12 volt splitter, plugged into the power outlet by the hand brake, these I really DO need.

(try finding addresses in Dallas, and dodging all the hidden Hiway Radar Patrol cars waiting to pounce on the Texas Interstate)

So, here is what is probably a really stupid idea...I wonder why I can't just down load my i-tunes library to MP3 format recorded CD's and just load them in the Versa's CD stacker? Use the steering wheel audio controls and still have the same tunes.

It seems too simple a solution..and I admit that I know NOTHING about the "how toos" ...is it posssible, any thoughts?

That would definitely suffice as a solution, if you see it more fit to your needs. It's a matter of opinion. I, personally, like to use my iPod, as it has over 6000 songs at the tips of my fingers. It's easier than having to shuffle through 60 or so CDs to get to the song I want to hear. I have my wires routed so that it doesn't look messy at all.
