Since the FM transmitters don't really work around here and the cassettes aren't any better, I'm looking for a way to connect the Ipod to the Bose system in my 04. Any suggestions?

Check on ebay or everythingg35.com

I got the Nissan Ipod kit ~$180. 2-3 hour easy install and works well. You can control volume on the steering wheel and other functions like changing playlists/songs through the radio (but not ipod when plugged in).

Any Idea if they work with the 03 bose system? The noted one above (ebay listing) states 04 and later.

Thanks

I am interested in having one installed. Can you show me a picture of where it goes in your car? Thanks!

Thanks, this looks like a winner. I checked the installation and have 1 question; since the coupe's rear seat folds any idea where the SAT connection is?

Here's a place to get it:

http://www.ancoauto.com/oscomm...d=154That link was sent to me by the guy that offers it on e-bay. (See above post by cweberj30t)

And here's how you get behind the radio where you have to plug it in: http://g35ipod.com/installHW.php?skin=1&src=forum

That's a different unit in the picture, but the process to get behind the radio is the same.

I used a different brand but I believe the set-up is similiar. The ipod adapter plugs into the rear of the factory unit using the satellite port. Then the Satellite button on the radio becomes the IPOD button.

So coming down from the rear of the radio - I ran my wires through the transmission tunnel cover - up through the arm rest compartment. My setup retains all but volume control on the IPOD.

Here are some good sites for head unit removal:

Im not gonna lie to you. It is a major PITA to get to the head unit. Took me an hour and a half to do it start to finish. Cali, I did the same thing, ran the wire up through the center counsel into the arm rest. I removed the 12 volt imput in the arm rest and ran the cable through there. It was well worth the digital sound quality and steering wheel controls. I used to use the tape deck and it sounds 100 times better with this adaptor. If it seems too hard of an install, take it to a stereo installation place and pay them $50 or so to install for you.

anybody else here tried it with a 03 coupe... i installed it yesterday but the music only comes out on the left speakers... checked all my connections and they were fine... if i use the regular cd and radio, music comes from both sides but when i switch to the pa11-nis, the music just plays on the left... so i took it out.. this is my 4th time to take my radio and nav off, i can now do the whole procedure in 40 minutes...
