I just got an iPod classic 120 GB player for my birthday. Before opening it does it work in my car? I know my iPod nano 3rd gen. does. Thanks for a quick response, can't wait to open it!

Can't see why not. I have the Nano in the car all the time. And just tried my son's touch few days ago without any problem.Maybe somebody with classic experience can chime in.

I checked on the Apple site and confirmed that the connectors are the same.I have opened the Classic, transferred my 7,335 MP3's on it, plugged it into the G37 and it plays them wonderfully! Thanks for your reply.Sir Loin

Note about the 120 GB iPod. To access a specific artist or song you have to start at 'A' and scroll down. There is no increased speed it just slowly scrolls. If I want to listen to Van Halen it takes about 5 minutes to get to the 'V's with my +1,300 artists (over 8,000 songs) iPod content.I do use playlists which makes it easier. An update would be nice to increase scan seek speed when held for 10 - 15 seconds or so.

Well I guess you already figured out for yourself, but yeah, I've got a 120gb and an 08 G37 and it works fine. I spent a few hours and organized all my music by genre, and it makes searching for artists much easier. I'd recommend that. It'd be a lot easier to scroll down to "Rock" and then to "Van Halen" than to scroll through 3000 different artists
