Ipod cable

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I recently bought a used EX35. I can't find the ipod cable. Do you know where I can get one? I see the port in the center console for the ipod, and the nav/bose has the ipod feature, but I have no cable.

The infiniti dealership or ebay.

My dealer is a rip-off artist. They would probably charge $50 for a simple cable.

As for ebay, I searched for infiniti ipod cable, and for ex35 ipod cable and both came up with responses which included third-party ipod adapters, but not the proprietary ipod interface cable for premium package cars with built-in ipod function.

ZDoes anyone know what "term" I should search for on ebay?

Or is there an online Infiniti Parts Seller where I can buy this for a reasonable price?

Just keep looking at ebay. I've seen the proper cables on there before, there just happens to be none on there at the moment.

I'm not sure you actually want the OEM cable. The original cable was designed for earlier versions of the ipod and iphone (pre 3g). As a result, it does not send power to later iphone/ipod touch devices. Otherwise it works fine. There is an adapter to fix this from a company called scosche. However, I have looked (to no good result) for a replacement for the whole cable that is pinned properly for newer iphones and ipod touches. If you can find one of those, go for it and let me know!

Check with those dealers/parts suppliers who are sponsors of NICO. They usually have pretty good deals. Click on the marketplace tab.

You can use the USB cable that came with your iPod.

(or get one from the Apple Store if you don't have an extra cable, they are $19 http://store.apple.com/us/prod...UwMzg)
