I've had an awesome afternoon! It started off around 1:00 when I decided to do the Cassette Player iPod input trick. For those of you not familiar, this basically consists of removing your stock cassette player, opening it up and splicing a line input in between the heads and the main board. Aside for having absolutely no idea how to get the cassette player out (you have to pry the sides of the center console to the point where you feel like you're going to break it) the job went pretty easily. That's until I went to pop the cassette mechanism back into the player.

I accidentally pushed it down when installing and it was now stuck in the engaged position. So I start the car and it's clearly jammed. It won't pop up, won't fully engage, won't play a tape if I put it in there. All it does is try to engage the tape and then says "Tape Not Inserted". It worked though! While it's attempting to engage the tape the audio plays. I spent the next three hours trying to fix the assembly to no avail and ultimately just purchased another player on eBay for $25.00. Oh well. I'll get it right the second time!
