From what I've seen, there are no aftermarket head units that will work with the steering wheel controls, so I don't want to go that route. That leaves me trying to find something that will work with the existing stereo.
So, with that in mind, here's my question. Does Nissan use this same stereo in any other models where I might have better luck finding an adapter?
On a similar note, if I do find an adapter, does anyone know how to install it? It would be ideal if there's a way to get the iPod cable to come in the back of the cubbie hole on top of the head unit.
thanks
+1 Totally agreed. The aux in distorts something fierce, so much so that I went and started burning cds from my iTunes library to play in the car...I hate only getting 6 discs in there...
So I take it that the bluetooth circuit is in the factory stereo too?
I guess the Bancroft Accessories adapter is the only way to go on that then...I visited my local audio pimp/pusher and they coulding even find a compatible mix amongst like 8 vendors...unless of course this particular headunit is used in another model as you'd mentioned...USA Spec never got back to me either and I really don't want to lose capability by putting an aftermarket piece in...or at least be redundant there at best....
